Looking for a glamorous way to start your New Year’s Eve festivities? For more than 10 years, Bravissimo! Opera’s Greatest Hits has been Toronto’s classiest New Year’s Eve celebration.

 

Four world-class international opera stars take the stage with Opera Canada Symphony and Chorus.

 

Brimming with arias, choruses, and duets from Turandot, La traviata, Rigoletto, Magic Flute, and more, each as everlasting as the tradition of New Year’s Eve, this concert is a romantic, sophisticated start to the evening’s festivities.

 

The final bows will usher you out before 10pm, to send you on your way before the clock strikes midnight!

Over his 14-year tenure as concertmaster of Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, Michelangelo Mazza was immersed in Italian opera, working with esteemed conductors including Riccardo Muti, Yuri Temirkanov and Lorin Maazel. Performing or conducting has brought Maestro Mazza around the world, to Carnegie Hall, Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Hall, Tokyo’s Kioi Hall, and St. Petersburg's Philharmonic Hall. He recently conducted Un ballo in Maschera with the Hungarian State Opera and concerts in Germany at Cologne’s Kölner Philharmonie, Hamburg's Elbphilarmonie, and Frankfurt's Alte Oper.
