Founded in 1987, Attila Glatz Concert Productions produces, promotes, and manages classical, jazz, folk, country, film and video game music performances worldwide.
The company’s signature presentation is the beloved New Year’s Concert, Salute to Vienna. Presented annually in more than 20 major concert halls from the Lincoln Center to Roy Thomson Hall, this concert series is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015, delighting North American audiences for two decades. Salute to Vienna has returned to the city of its inspiration in 2014 with over 100 intimate Operetta in Concert performances at Vienna's prestigious Wiener Konzerthaus. The company’s largest Salute to Vienna production, filmed at the Konzerthaus for public television in 2013 is airing on PBS for three years and as of Spring 2014, has aired over 750 times. Co-hosted by Academy Award-winner Maximilian Schell, and mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade, this televised performance featured the Vienna Boy’s Choir and world-renowned singers including British tenor, Russell Watson. For their tireless dedication and passion in cultivating and promoting Viennese musical traditions, co-founders Marion and Attila Glatz were awarded the Austrian Government’s Decoration of Merit in Gold.
Other Attila Glatz Concert Productions highlights have included an exclusive Toronto engagement of Plácido Domingo, a Strauss/Gershwin Gala in Vienna featuring the late Gregory Peck, Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY (Berlin, London, Vienna, Montreal, Toronto and other cities), Lord of the Rings Symphony, Natalie Dessay Sings Michel Legrand, Bravissimo! Opera’s Greatest Hits, and the Canadian premiere of GLADIATOR LIVE, an HD presentation of the acclaimed feature film accompanied by a full orchestra and choir.
